We encourage you to participate in National Cybersecurity Awareness Month by following these important tips:
- Make sure you have antivirus software installed and keep it up-to-date. The best way to keep your antivirus software current is to set it to automatically install updates.
- Keep your operating system up-to-date. When Windows, Mac, or Linux notifies you that an update is available, apply it as soon as possible.
- Make backups of your important files. Copy any important pictures, videos, and documents to an external hard drive or a CD/DVD, and keep a backup schedule.
